Herb and Jennifer Lamb
Jennifer and Herb Lamb met while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the early 1970's. They moved back to Herb's hometown of Napa and established jobs in wine hospitality and the vineyard industry, gaining innumerable wine industry friends and knowledge.
Jennifer, from Pasadena, CA, began touting Napa's vineyards and wineries through her own tour business, Wine Country Tours, in the early 1980's, then expanded into the Hospitality and Public Relations arms of the industry, finally working for St. Clement Vineyards for 12 years. In 2003 she left the corporate wine world to focus her passion on marketing and public relations of the Herb Lamb Vineyards labels.
Herb spent his youth in the Napa Valley, working in the hay fields, walnut and prune orchards, and a fruit dehydrating plant and local feed store during high school. He was involved with agricultural mechanics and livestock in FFA. Through studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he received his degree in Soil Science. Using his farming knowledge and multiple agricultural licenses, he began working for throughout the north coast by applying sprays and making recommendations for chemical applications in premium vineyards. He and a partner built their own agricultural chemical business, starting the successful Napa Valley Ag Supply which they have owned and managed for over 25 years.
Jennifer and Herb have two daughters who live in Washington DC and London. Fortunately, they like good wine and love sharing visits home, bringing new friends and clients.
