Since the inception of the Herb Lamb Vineyards wine brand, Jennifer and Herb Lamb have sought out the most distinctive and creative design for their eponymous label. Just as the wine is lovingly hand made in limited quantities, so too is each label for the HL Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon individually created on hand made paper by Jennifer Garden at her Bluestocking Press. Housed in the rustic light of a renovated 1880 working barn on the outskirts of St. Helena, Bluestocking Press offers its clientele a tactile approach to printing where inks are hand mixed and type is impressed upon paper in the sculptural fashion for which contemporary letterpress printing is noted. Each HL Vineyards label gets three different passes by hand with different ink and type. The same individualized exactness is given to the HL press packets and business cards.

Anti-counterfeit Label

In an attempt to address the growing threat of producers of imitation wines, HL Vineyards was one of the leading Napa Valley premium wineries to employ a new high tech anti-counterfeiting technology. Taking proactive measurers, HL Vineyards embeds invisible markers in each label, allowing easy authentication of the wines to protect both their brand and customers.
